The 2017 Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over (DSOGPO) national enforcement mobilization will run from August 18 to September 4. DSOGPO focuses on law enforcement efforts to stop drunk drivers. The campaign highlights a constant police presence on the lookout for drunk drivers as a way of deterring people from drinking and driving.
In this webinar, NHTSA’s Office of Impaired Driving and Occupant Protection provided an update of ongoing and upcoming law enforcement initiatives and resources and the Office of Communications and Consumer Information shared the media plan and products for the campaign, as well as where and how to access the campaign materials.
In addition, attendees learned how the Florida LEL Program generates law enforcement partner participation and interest where it had previously been limited or non-existent, and also picked up some ideas that LELs can use to support their efforts for DSOGPO.
