The SPI grant program seeks to build upon analysis-driven, evidence-based policing by encouraging state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies to develop effective, economical, and innovative responses to crime within their jurisdictions.  The Shawnee, Kansas police department was a previous recipient that used the DDACTS model and reduced crime in the targeted area by more than 25 percent.  The deadline for applications is March 9, 2015.  For full details about this solicitation and how to apply go to https://www.bja.gov/Funding/15SmartPolicingSol.pdf.
