The 2016 national impaired driving enforcement mobilization, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, is scheduled for August 17 to September 5, 2016. One of the deadliest and most often committed — yet preventable — of crimes [drunk driving], has become a serious safety epidemic in our country. This webinar featured an update of law enforcement initiatives and resources from NHTSA’s Office of Impaired Driving and Occupant Protection and a review of this year’s media plan and products, as well as where and how to access the 2016 Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign materials from the Office of Communications and Consumer Information.
In addition, two representatives from the Oklahoma State Patrol reviewed the operation and success of the Oklahoma ENDUI and Impaired Driving Liaison (IDL) programs. Oklahoma currently has five IDLs who represent five geographical regions within the state.
