The LEL Webinar Series once again presents Maryland’s Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors, David Daggett and Jonathan Naylor, for Part II of our three-part series “It All Starts with a Traffic Stop.” This session features a guide to search and seizure law related to motor vehicles. The webinar addressed such basic questions as when can a vehicle be searched? Who can be searched? What can be searched? What rights do passengers have? Can drivers and passengers be ordered out of the vehicle? Can they be patted down? How long can they be detained? This is an outstanding Fourth Amendment refresher session for law enforcement officers and LELs.

Speakers:

  • David Daggett, Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor, Maryland State’s Attorneys’ Association
  • Jonathan Naylor, Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor, Maryland State’s Attorneys’ Association
